    MADIKERI: The Kodagu Zilla Panchayath unanimously resolved to oppose the proposal of delimitation of district. The monthly review meeting of the Kodagu Zilla Panchayath chaired by its president H S Ashok has decided to sent the resolution to the government passed by it.

    Zill Parishath members and the MLA K G Bopaiah addressed the meeting opposing the delimitation.

    K G Bopaiah MLA called for an agitation against delimitation and asked the government to drop the proposal. He said if delimitation is implemented a part of rural area will come under urban rule.

    Bopaiah said the agitation should be an eye opener to the Central Government and the Constitution may be amended to give justice to the people of Kodagu. He urged district level leaders and former MLAs, MLCs and ministers to express their dissent to delimitation.
