  • 5 brand new education institutions to come up in Kodagu

    Five new education institutions will come up in Kodagu. State Govt. has sanctioned one pre University College, one Morarji school and three high schools. Mr. Ramachandragowda, the kodagu District incharge minister has disclosed this. He has inaugurated the Bicycle distribution function at Kushalnagar.

    The kushalnagar pre university college will get science section from next academic year –he disclosed.

    The state Govt. has this year distributed 1.75 lakh bicycles to poor girls in Karnataka. The coverage includes 120 Pre University colleges, 380 High Schools in the state-Ramachandragowda disclosed.

    The kodagu has 77% literacy and in the coming years 90% should be achieved he hoped.

    Speaking as a chief guest, B.A .Jeeviajaya, the Somwrapet MLA. Expressed his dissatisfaction over the negligence attitude of the officials in kodagu in properly implementing the Govt. sanctioned projects. Kodagu is facing burning problems like drinking water problem, to obtain right over the cutting of trees, various land tenure and elephant menace problems .What is the need of celebrating the Karnataka go;lden year celebration while the district is suffering like this?,  he asked. The district administration is going in dictatorial attitude, Jeevijaya alleged.. Other dignitoires were present.
