Residential houses on Forest Land to be regularized by Karnataka Govt

The State Govt is contemplating to “regularize” residential houses built on forest land in the Malnad region.
In short, “encroachment shall be legalized in the forest land”.

High Court refuses to stay the Hydel project coming up at Madikeri.

The Karnataka High Court has refused to stay the 10 MW mini-hydel project coming up at Manjadka reserve forest area at Madikeri, while
issuing notices to state and centre regarding the grant of license to Bhoruka Power Corporation Ltd.
